CONCRETE THERAPY

Concrete Therapy (aka: Corey-Ross Miles) was born in 1989 within the outskirts of Montreal; Canada’s second largest metropolis, built on multiculturalism and diversity. Being in close proximity to the home of the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Miles was fortunate enough to be surrounded by a tightly-knit community of talented local musicians; people who were both inclusive and encouraging towards the younger artists of the region. Being partially raised by extended family whom were deeply embedded in the roots of festival culture and analog sound engineering, Miles quickly fell in the love with the concept of tending to his spirituality and musicianship. What followed shortly after was a desire to share his messages of self-discovery with the world through the use of his Reggae Fusion music.

During his time making indie tracks in his home studio and being on the Montreal music scene with his live band, Miles had the time to solidify his artistic integrity and develop his own personal direction. By a twist of fate, he caught the attention of restaurant “Bistro Nolah” owner Richard T, who soon after referred him to Cole B; the founder of ALUK Entertainment Group Inc. After forming an instant bond and finding common ground with Cole, they worked in harmony to realize a vision of creating conscious music for the masses. In order to publicize Concrete Therapy’s future album, ALUK Entertainment Group Inc. connected some of the city’s most promising talent in order to create a new Reggae Fusion/Pop single titled “Generations”.

Aside from the current studio work, Concrete Therapy’s live band once kicked off the summer of 2015 by playing at the “RAW: Natural Born Artists” show. This is approximately when Miles began setting a foundation for his developing style. With this development came intriguing opportunities, among them was a chance to fly up to the northern coast of Quebec to perform in Kuujuuaq; the largest village in Nunavik. Immediately upon returning to Montreal, they were booked for another gig at Montreal’s annual Ribfest. As so as the summer came to a close, Miles strived for more organization and material. This is when he decided to disband the group and take steps towards affiliating himself with a more organized approach; one that ALUK Entertainment Group Inc. was able to offer.

Concrete Therapy’s upcoming album will possess radio-friendly qualities while providing conscious lyrics that address topics such as personal and spiritual development, empowering the yOuth, and living in the now. Miles hopes to have the opportunity to perform live and deliver insightful words to a commercial audience.
